Can coriander be grown hydroponically?

Coriander, also known as cilantro, is a plant of the genus Coriander in the Apiaceae family. It is a common flavoring vegetable. The coriander we eat is generally grown in soil, but hydroponic coriander is cleaner, healthier and fresher than that grown in soil.

Methods and key points of hydroponic cultivation of coriander

1. Prepare some fresh coriander, wash them, then use scissors to cut their bottoms diagonally and disinfect them with disinfectant.

2. Prepare a transparent bottle, fill it with water, and then put the plant in the bottle. Be careful not to let its leaves be immersed in water to avoid rot.

Precautions for growing coriander in water

1. Coriander does not require high temperature. It can be kept at room temperature. If conditions permit, the temperature can be adjusted to between 17-20℃, so that it will grow better.

2. When caring for coriander, you need to change the water every 1-2 days. This will keep the water clean, which is very beneficial for its rooting and growth.

3. Coriander likes soft sunlight. You can usually put it on the balcony to receive soft light. If the sun is strong, you need to shade it.

4. Normally, on the third day of hydroponic coriander, it will grow young roots, and after two weeks it will grow well and can be harvested.
