However, we need to control the amount of water when watering. If water accumulates in the pot, it can easily cause waterlogging and lead to poor growth.

Like water or drought: The miniature coconut palm likes water. The soil should be kept moist during the growth period. During the dormant period, wait until two-thirds of the potting soil is dry before watering.

Like moisture or dryness: Miniature coconut palm likes moisture, so its demand for water is naturally relatively large. We usually need to not only keep the soil moist but also ensure that the maintenance environment is moist.

Can miniature coconuts be grown hydroponically?

Miniature coconut palms can be cultivated in hydroponics. When cultivated in hydroponics, they should be kept in good sunlight, but strong sunlight exposure should be avoided.

When growing in water, you can use granular substrates such as ceramsite and medical stone to fix the plant roots and cover the unsightly roots. The suitable temperature for growth is around 20-30℃, and it is best to keep the temperature above 15℃ in winter.

Spring and Autumn: Spring and Autumn belong to the growth stage, and water can be given every 5 days or so. In late spring and early autumn, the temperature is relatively high, and depending on the weather conditions, water can be changed to every 3 days to ensure sufficient water.

Summer: It is relatively hot in summer, and water evaporates very quickly. It grows well in a high temperature and high humidity environment. Its root system is well developed and it absorbs more water. Therefore, it needs to be watered more in summer, 1-2 times a day.

Winter: The temperature is relatively low at this time, so you should reduce the amount of watering and only water once every 10-15 days.
