How to grow bamboo taro so that it will bloom

Bamboo taro needs suitable soil, which should be relatively loose and well-permeable. The place where it is maintained should have good light. It needs to be shaded in advance in summer. It should not be watered halfway. It should be watered every 3-4 days in spring and autumn, and every 2 days in summer. The pot should be changed once a year, and fertilizer should be applied every 10 days or so.

How to grow bamboo taro

Flower soil: The use of suitable soil for growing bamboo taro is the prerequisite for its growth and blooming. It is recommended to use soil with strong looseness and good water permeability. It is afraid of waterlogging, so the flower soil used must meet the requirements of good drainage.

Light: This is a plant that likes sunlight. During the cultivation process, you should choose a location with good light, especially during the growing season and winter, to give it enough light. The summer sun is strong and the temperature is high, so shade must be provided in advance.

Watering: In order to make the bamboo taro bloom, the soil needs to be kept moist. Do not water halfway, otherwise the water cannot penetrate into its roots. In spring and autumn, it is usually watered once every 3-4 days, and in summer, it is watered once every 2 days.

Repotting: You should repot the plant once a year so that it has enough space to grow and will easily grow out of the pot. You can repot the plant in spring or autumn every year. If you don't repot the plant for a long time, the soil will become airtight.

Fertilization: It is extremely important to fertilize the bamboo yam regularly when it is growing, usually once every 10 days or so. The fertilizer should be well-rotted. It will grow more vigorously if there are enough nutrients in the soil.

Daily maintenance precautions for bamboo taro

Soil requirements: The cultivation soil can be a mixture of coarse sand and cultivation soil in a ratio of 1:1, or a mixture of cultivation soil, vermiculite and coarse sand in a ratio of 2:1:1, or you can directly use special soil.

Temperature management: Pay attention to air circulation in summer, add shade during the noon period to avoid high temperatures, and move the plant to a sunny place indoors to avoid the cold when the temperature drops below 5°C in winter.

Watering management: Normally, you can water the plant when the soil is dry. Water the plant thoroughly once a month or so, until water starts dripping from the holes at the bottom of the pot. Avoid watering the plant's leaves to prevent them from rotting due to prolonged accumulation of water. Be careful not to allow water to accumulate at the bottom of the pot.
