What to do if the leaves of Kalanchoe turn yellow and soft

What to do if the leaves of Kalanchoe turn yellow and soft

1. Reduce watering

Reason: When caring for Kalanchoe, if you water it too much, water will accumulate, and its roots will not be able to breathe normally, which will cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: Loosen the soil slightly and place it in a ventilated place. Water less after its leaves recover. Generally, it is not too late to water after the soil is completely dry, as long as there is no excess moisture in the soil.

2. Increase watering

Reason: If it is not watered for a long time and the soil in the pot is too dry, its leaves will become soft and yellow, and may even fall off.

Solution: Replenish water in time and continuously increase the amount of watering, but do not water it excessively immediately.

3. Reasonable lighting

Reason: Whether the sun is too strong or insufficient, the leaves will easily have problems. The leaf color will continue to fade and eventually turn yellow. At the same time, the leaves will become soft.

Solution: You can let it see the sun at ordinary times, but when the sun is strong, you must provide shade. The sunlight is not very good in winter, so you can put it in a place indoors where it can get sunlight, but don't keep it away from sunlight for a long time.

4. Appropriate fertilization

Reason: If the amount of fertilizer applied to the Kalanchoe is too large or the concentration of the fertilizer is too high, the leaves will become dull, or even turn yellow and soft.

Solution: If the amount of fertilizer is too much, add more water to dilute the excess fertilizer. After the leaves recover, apply thin fertilizer frequently, and do not fertilize in summer.
