Corn growth cycle

The planting time of different corns is also different. Generally, spring corn is planted in April and May, and autumn corn is planted in August. It is suitable for growing in deep, loose and breathable soil. It is a warm-loving short-day crop with a daily light time of about 5-6 hours. The most suitable growth temperature is 10-12℃, and the growth cycle is about 100-120 days.

Corn Varieties and Origin

There are many varieties of corn, the more common ones are sweet corn, glutinous corn, Liangyu 99, Longgao L2, Dongdan 1331, Jinchong No. 1, Zhengdan 2265, Shuoyu 668, Jinyu 506, etc.

Corn is distributed in Northeast, North China, Southwest, Northwest and other places in my country. Common producing areas include Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Henan, Hebei and other provinces. Among them, the more famous ones include yellow corn from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, Hannan sweet corn from Hubei and Fengcheng corn from Sichuan.
