Suitable soil

The reason why succulents cannot be grown well is mostly because of problems with the soil. It is very important to match the soil for succulents. When planting, choose half loam and half coarse sand, add some decomposed organic fertilizer, perlite, etc. For specific methods of preparing soil for succulent plants, please refer to ☞Soil suitable for succulent plants

Pink sunshine

The moonflower is a very good foliage plant. It is green under normal circumstances, but when exposed to sunlight, it will emit a reddish-brown glow, so it must be kept in the sun during the growing period. If the plant grows in a dark place, it will easily grow too tall, have a loose plant shape, thinner leaves, dull leaf color, and less white powder on the leaves.

As long as there is enough sunlight, you will see that the sunlight is red. But pay attention to shade in the summer, as the leaves can easily be burned by exposure to the scorching sun, affecting growth.

Winter small greenhouse

The leaves of the plant are not cold-resistant and can easily get frostbitten if the weather is too cold. In winter, the plant should be placed in a sunny place indoors. If the minimum temperature at night is around 10℃ and there is a certain temperature difference between day and night, you can water it appropriately and apply fertilizer as appropriate to allow the plant to continue growing. If the indoor temperature is low, you should control watering, keep the soil in the pot dry, stop fertilizing, and allow the plant to hibernate normally.

Moisturizing leaves

When watering, follow the principle of "don't water unless the soil is dry, and water thoroughly when you do", and avoid water accumulation in the potting soil. When the air is dry, you can sprinkle water around the plant, but water should not accumulate on the leaves, especially in the center of the leaf cluster, otherwise it will cause heart rot. Pay special attention to avoid long-term rain.

Water and fertilizer combination

The plant should be fertilized once every 20 days. Use decomposed thin liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer with low nitrogen and high phosphorus and potassium. Be careful to apply the fertilizer close to the ground and avoid splashing it onto the leaves.

The time for fertilization should also be chosen in the morning or evening when the weather is clear. Water thoroughly once in the evening of the same day or the next morning to dilute the residual fertilizer liquid in the soil.
