How to prune Jade Flower

When is the best time to prune Jade Flower?

There is no time limit for pruning Jade Plants. As long as unhealthy branches and leaves are found, they can be pruned. Pruning should be done in spring as much as possible to reduce the harm to the plant.

When pruning a Jade Plant, you should first prune away dead branches, dense branches, and diseased branches. Before pruning, observe the overall shape, then cut the cross, cluster, and parallel branches. Finally, shorten the overlong branches according to the shape.

Tips for pruning Jade Flower

Topping to promote germination : Removing the top of the branches of Jade Plant is advantageous and also beneficial to the growth of the central trunk and main branches, causing the branches to age quickly.

Maintain the outline of the shape : If the leaves at the top of the Jade Plant are not full enough, try to top-prune it to differentiate into more side branches.

Pruning makes it grow faster: For Jade Plant, cut off one-third of the main branches, leaving only about two-thirds. Cut off half of the side branches, leaving only one-half. Then leave only three or four branches on the side branches, so that the main trunk can absorb more nutrients and grow faster.

Pruning and flowering: Pruning the branches and leaves of Jade Plant can promote the growth of side branches. The denser the side branches grow, the more flower buds will sprout between the side branches, and the number of flowers will not decrease.

Precautions for pruning Jade Flower

When pruning the Jade Plant, do not damage its stems. Be careful. If you are careless, it may cause serious damage.
