Best time to plant jasmine

Jasmine is best planted in spring from April to October, but it can be planted in winter or spring. Winter planting is done in November in a greenhouse after winter. Spring planting is between February and May, depending on the region. Generally, jasmine blooms from May to August each year. If properly maintained, it can bloom again after the flowers fade.

How to plant jasmine

1. Preparation of nutrient soil: How to plant jasmine is the key. When planting jasmine, you need to choose a soil with a higher looseness. You can use humus soil, fine sand and peat in a ratio of 5:3:3. This will add more humus, which is suitable for the growth of jasmine.

2. Planting and cultivation: Jasmine is best planted in spring. Suitable temperature can increase the jasmine's success rate. Then plant the jasmine seedlings in the prepared soil. At the same time, gently pull up the seedlings with your hands to completely cover the seedlings in the soil.

3. Watering for rooting: After planting, water must be applied to allow the soil to become wet, but the roots must not be cleaned out. At this time, the roots can be placed in a cool and ventilated environment. Do not dry them out while laying them flat. Jasmine has very poor cold resistance, so the temperature should be kept above 10°C.

4. Post-planting management: When jasmine grows 3 to 5 true leaves, it needs to be watered again to conserve the soil. In June of summer, phosphorus can be applied as the main nutrient every 10 days or so to facilitate the budding and flowering of jasmine. During the growing season, decomposed pollen can be applied every half a month.

Precautions for jasmine planting and management

1. Soil : Jasmine is suitable for slightly acidic soil rich in organic matter. The soil can be sticky, slightly acidic or loose.

2. Light: Jasmine likes a sunny and well-ventilated environment. It is not suitable to be grown indoors in other seasons except winter.

3. Watering: Jasmine likes water. It can be watered with thin fertilizer water after being kept in a high place for 10 days.
