Soilless cultivation method of green radish Soilless cultivation technology and precautions

Yield of soilless cultivation of green radish

Soilless cultivation of green radish generally has better maintenance effects in spring and summer. In winter, due to the cold weather, soilless cultivation of green radish is prone to frostbite. Therefore, soilless cultivation of green radish should first be placed indoors in winter, and timely lighting is needed to maintain the temperature in winter.

Soilless cultivation technology of green radish

1. Matrix

There are three types of soilless cultivation substrates for green radish: ① river sand; ② perlite; ③ perlite + peat. The culture medium must be sterilized before cutting, using 1000 times of bacterium to sterilize, and in addition, a layer of ceramsite must be laid on the upper surface.

2. Nutrient solution

The nutrient solution for growing green radish can be made by dissolving 85mg/L ammonium nitrate, 185mg/L magnesium sulfate, 220mg/L calcium chloride, 0.125mg/L potassium iodide, 4.3mg/L zinc sulfate, 3.1mg/L boric acid nutrient solution, 5.56gFeSO4·7H2O and 7.46gNa2-EDTA in 1L of water. Take 2.5ml for every 1L of nutrient solution when using; pH value is 5.8.

3. Process

Pull out a green radish from a pot of green radish. Find an empty bottle, put 2/3 of water in it, and then plant it. Place it in a place with light, and change the water once a week. Before changing the water, rinse the roots with clean water. After a few weeks, the green radish will grow new roots, and finally wait for the plant to thrive.

4. Key points

The green radish likes scattered light and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and burn easily, and the spots will disappear. In winter, you should pay attention to keeping warm and increase the light, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and fall easily.

Precautions for soilless cultivation of green radish

1. Water selection : The key to soilless cultivation of green radish is water. You can choose mineral water, tap water, rainwater, etc. Before use, please note that tap water needs to be left for a few days to remove chlorine from the water.

2. Change water : When you first start soilless cultivation, you need to change the water frequently, about every two to three days. You can extend the water change time after waiting for rooting.

3. Temperature and light : In the northern hemisphere, indoor temperatures above 10 degrees Celsius can survive the winter, and above 20 degrees Celsius can grow normally. It should be noted here that soilless cultivation of green radish should not be close to heating facilities. It should be kept in a sunny place.
