With one cut from the bear's paw, a "bear forest" suddenly appeared!

Raise the bear's paw like this and it will burst the pot

Flower lovers, if you want to grow Bear’s Paw into a bear forest, you must first understand how to grow a pot of Bear’s Paw well. It is actually not difficult. Come and take a look!

1. Water thoroughly if the soil is dry

Spring is the growing season for Bear's Paw. It is necessary to ensure sufficient water. Generally, wait until the soil is dry before watering. It is enough to water it once a week in spring. If there is a lack of water, the leaves of the little bear will become soft and shriveled, but you cannot water it too much, as accumulated water will cause root rot.

2. Don’t spray water on the leaves

There are dense small hairs on the leaves of Bear's Paw. When the ventilation is poor, if you spray water on the leaves, the water will accumulate on the leaves and not be easily evaporated. Over time, it will cause the leaves to rot and be infected by bacteria.

3. When raising them outdoors, prevent them from being chewed by birds

Some flower lovers have encountered the situation where their bear plants are eaten by birds when they are kept outdoors, just like the picture below where a leaf was eaten. It is so pitiful. Huahua suggests that flower lovers insert chopsticks, wooden sticks, etc. around the flowerpots to prevent them from being pecked by birds.

4. Choose sandy soil

The soil can be a mixture of river sand, vermiculite, pine needle soil, etc. This kind of soil has good drainage and air permeability, and can prevent root rot.

5. The flower pot should not be too small and should have drainage holes

Don't use a flowerpot that is too small to grow the bear cub, as it will be detrimental to its growth and will become shriveled. Choose a larger flowerpot with drainage holes at the bottom.

6. Adequate lighting

If you want the little bear to grow quickly, you must ensure that it gets enough light in the spring, place it on the south balcony, and ensure good ventilation. With sufficient sunlight, the little bear will grow fat and round, with beautiful leaves and even its nails turning red.

Bear paws are planted like this, and they become a bear forest

The little bear is so cute, who wouldn’t want to grow a few pots? As long as you learn how to do cuttings, you can turn 1 pot into 10 pots, or even 100 pots. It takes a long time for Little Bear to take root by leaf cuttings, so Huahua recommends that flower lovers use branch cuttings.

1. Cut off the branches

Choose the strong and full top branches of the little bear, about 5-7 cm in length, retain about 5-6 leaves, and place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry the wounds.

2. Dip in rooting powder

Apply some rooting powder on the cut of the branch, or soak it in 10 times diluted white sugar water for 20 minutes. After taking it out, rinse off the remaining white sugar water on the wound and put it in a cool and ventilated place to dry.

3. Insert into the soil

Try to choose river sand as the soil for cuttings. Sterilize the river sand with boiling water or expose it to the sun in advance, then water the river sand thoroughly, insert the branches, and place it under scattered light. Water when the soil is dry.

4. After 1-2 weeks, roots will begin to grow

Spring is very suitable for the rooting of Bear's Paw. Generally, it will grow roots after 2-3 weeks, and tender green side buds will emerge. At this time, it can be moved to the south windowsill or grown outdoors.

5. Topping

After the little bear grows for a while and grows 4 leaves on the top again, you can pinch them off to encourage more side branches to grow. The leaves will then become densely packed and grow into a bear tree. The branches that are pinched off can be directly used for cuttings, and it is not difficult to turn it into 100 pots.
