How to change the soil in Damulan and what is the time and method of changing the soil

When will the soil in Damulan be changed?

It is generally more appropriate to change the soil of Damulan in spring and autumn every year, because the plant grows vigorously in these two seasons and its normal growth will not be affected by changing the soil.

The soil of Damunlan cannot be changed in summer because the plant is in a dormant period and its physiological activities are weak. If the root system is damaged when changing the soil, it will affect the opening of the flowers.

When should Damulan be transplanted?

Generally speaking, it is better to change the soil and transplant Damulan from March to May in spring or from October to November in autumn, which is conducive to the growth and survival of the plant.

How to change soil and pot for Damulan

1. First, carefully take the Damulan out of the original flowerpot, remove the old and rotten roots, soak the roots in a solution of carbendazim for sterilization, and then take them out and place them in a ventilated place to dry.

2. The method of preparing soil for Damulan is relatively simple. Generally, you can use 6 parts of leaf mold, 2 parts of pine needles, 1 part of river sand or furnace ash, and 1 part of base fertilizer to mix and prepare the soil. The leaf mold mainly refers to oak leaves.

3. Prepare appropriate flower pots. The soil should be loose and breathable, rich in humus. Then fill some soil in the flower pots, plant the plants in them, fill in the remaining soil, and gently press the soil. Water it thoroughly once.

Matters Needing Attention in Changing Soil in Damulan

1. It is better to use soil rich in humus when repotting Damulan. The soil is required to have good air permeability, good water permeability, fertile and slightly acidic.

2. When changing the soil of Damunlan, you need to choose a flower pot with good air permeability, which is more suitable for growth. When potting, it should not be planted too deep. Just bury the pseudobulb at the base of the plant, cover it with sand and then water it thoroughly.

3. After changing the soil of Damunlan, it is better to keep the temperature of the maintenance environment at around 18°C. Avoid waterlogging. There is no need to water it too much. Just keep the soil in the pot moist.
