Where is Poria suitable for planting

Poria cocos planting area

Poria cocos mainly grows on sunny slopes at an altitude of 300-800 meters and at a temperature below 35 degrees. Because it has a certain degree of cold resistance, it is also distributed in northern regions.

Poria cocos is suitable for cultivation in most parts of my country, but not in the severely cold northern regions. It can be grown in Hebei, Henan, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places. Among them, the Poria cocos produced in Hubei is the most famous.

Poria cocos planting conditions

Poria mycelium can grow between 18℃-35℃, and the optimum temperature is 25℃-30℃. It grows slowly below 15℃, is dormant below 0℃, and is prone to aging above 35℃. The sclerotium is the storage organ of Poria nutrients and is also a dormant organ that adapts to adverse environments. Therefore, it has a strong adaptability to temperature and can withstand high temperatures of 40℃ and freezing temperatures below 0℃.

Key points of planting and management of Poria cocos

1. Land preparation

Choose a sandy slope with good drainage for planting. After the site is selected, deep plow the soil, harrow it and then pile it up for disinfection. Deep plowing is required about half a month before inoculation, so that impurities and pests in the soil can be thoroughly removed to ensure the growth of Poria cocos.

2. Vaccination

Inoculation is usually carried out in spring and autumn. First, you need to choose a suitable strain of fungus. Secondly, dig a cellar along the slope on the prepared ground, place the logs along the cellar, and then disinfect the strain of fungus.

3. Management

White mycelium will grow about a week after inoculation. It is necessary to check the field production in time. If there is a shortage, replant in time. Then check every ten days or so to see if there are dead or foreign bacteria. If there are any, remove them in time, otherwise it will infect other healthy strains.
