Where is lily suitable for planting?

Lily Planting Place

Lilies generally grow in forests and grasses in the southwest or northwest of my country. They are suitable for growing in places with moderate light conditions and are planted all over the country after transplanting.

Lilies are suitable for planting in cool and humid places, and the northern region of my country is very suitable for cultivating lilies. It is not very resistant to waterlogging and will easily wither due to waterlogging in the soil, so it is not suitable for cultivation in the south. Due to its excellent cold resistance, it can grow in most areas of the north, among which the lilies in Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province are more famous.

Lily Planting Conditions

Lilies are suitable for planting in a semi-shaded environment. The temperate monsoon climate or the subarctic coniferous forest climate is very suitable for its growth. It grows well in places with deep, loose and fertile soil. The temperature of the planting environment needs to be maintained at around 15 to 23 degrees Celsius during the growth period, which can allow the plants to grow best.

Key points for lily planting and management

1. Lighting:

Lilies are not suitable for growing directly under the sun. They should be shaded when planted. Covering the plants with a shade net is a good choice.

2. Soil:

Lilies are suitable for planting in places with deep and fertile soil. If the local soil is relatively poor, you can use farmyard manure or humus solution to increase fertility.

3. Water:

Lilies need the soil to remain as dry as possible during their growth. Too much water in the soil will affect the respiration of its roots. When there is too much rainfall in the rainy season, drainage must be carried out in a timely manner.
