Grape growing conditions

Grapes are not cold-resistant and have strict temperature requirements. The temperature for their growth must not be lower than 12 degrees. If it is lower than 12 degrees, they will stop growing. During their flowering period, the temperature is around 20 degrees, which is conducive to their flowering. When the fruit is swelling, a temperature of 20-30 degrees is required. In addition, during the fruiting period, the greater the temperature difference between day and night, the more conducive it is to the coloring of the grapes and the accumulation of sugars.

Key points of grape planting and management

1. Environment

Grapes are thermophilic plants, and the best growing temperature is above 12 degrees, so the grape variety should be selected according to the local environment. The land should be loose and breathable, with direct sunlight and convenient drainage. These are the basic environments for growing grapes.

2. Fertilization

The water and fertilizer requirements of grapes during the growth process are different. The amount of water and fertilizer should be changed according to the growth of the grapes. After planting, nitrogen fertilizer should be applied and enough water should be poured to allow the roots to grow better in the soil.

3. Water management

During the grape budding, flowering and falling periods, water must be replenished in time. Replenishing water at these three times is very critical. The amount of water used should be determined according to local precipitation conditions, and a large amount of water must be replenished before the grapes are taken off the shelves to ensure that the grapes have sufficient water to survive the winter.
