How to plant glass jade? Planting time and method

Glass Jade Planting Time

Glass Jade is best planted in spring and autumn, and can bloom all year round. It likes warmth, and overwintering is one of the keys to its cultivation.

Glass Jade Planting Method

Before planting glass jade, dig a hole first, water it sufficiently, and wait for the water to seep into the moist soil before sowing the seeds. You can then cover it with soil, and new seedlings will emerge in about 5 days.

How to plant the glass jade I just bought

Glass Jade likes semi-shade. When you buy it, it is best to place it in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance, water it appropriately, ensure the humidity of the surrounding environment, and temporarily stop fertilizing, which can help it better adapt to the pot.

How to grow glass jade quickly

1. Soil : When planting glass jade, you can choose to mix garden soil, leaf mold and coarse sand, and apply a small amount of bean cake as base fertilizer.

2. Light : Glass Jade should be properly shaded to avoid direct sunlight. It is best to rotate the flower pot once every 7 days or so to ensure that all parts of the plant receive light evenly and the plant shape is beautiful.

3. Temperature : Glass Jade likes a warm environment, and the temperature is best between 18℃ and 25℃. The temperature cannot be lower than 10℃ during the winter, and it must be kept above 13℃ to keep blooming.

4. Fertilization : Glass Jade usually needs to be fertilized once every 10 days, mainly with compound fertilizer, and it should be applied once half a month after flowering.

Precautions for cultivating glass jade potted plants

Glass Jade is not cold-resistant, so it needs to be moved indoors for maintenance in time during winter. In addition, it needs to be repotted every two years with new pots and soil to ensure sufficient growth space and prevent the soil from becoming compacted.
