Rubber tree quick rooting method Simple method to quickly grow new roots after cutting

It is very simple to propagate rubber trees by cuttings. As long as we choose the right branches and handle the wounds of the branches properly, roots will grow in about 7-15 days. After the roots grow out, they will be able to grow rapidly if they return to normal maintenance.

1. Choose branches

In order for the rubber tree to take root quickly, we must first choose the right branches. When we prune the branches, the ones with aging bottom branches are the best. Do not choose tender branches. Branches that are too tender will easily become black after cuttings, which will affect its rooting speed.

2. Branch processing

Trim an oblique cut at the bottom of the branch, and then soak it in a water solution of rooting liquid and carbendazim for two hours. This will completely wash away the white liquid flowing out of the cut, and prevent the white liquid from solidifying and covering the wound surface during the drying process, affecting its absorption of water and rooting.

3. Choose the matrix

Rubber trees prefer soil that is air-permeable, water-permeable and nutritious. Generally, river sand and nutrient soil can be mixed in equal proportions. It can be used for both cuttings and planting. Make sure to disinfect it before use.

4. Take cuttings

Insert the rubber tree cuttings into the prepared soil and water them with an appropriate amount. You can add some rooting liquid and carbendazim when watering to prevent root rot. Let it grow new roots quickly, then place it in a well-ventilated place with scattered light. The roots will grow out in about 1-2 weeks.
