Why are the leaves of Jade Leaf Soft?

Why are the leaves of Jade Leaf Soft?

Reason 1 for Jade Plant's leaves becoming soft: lack of water

This is the most common reason. The air is dry and there is too little watering, so the moisture in the leaves evaporates and the plants wilt. So once this happens, check the dryness of the soil in the pot immediately. If it has turned into lumps, water it quickly.

But please be careful, if you remember that you haven't watered it for more than two months, please be careful, as it is not easy for the Jade Plant to survive until now. Don't water it with a lot of water. Moisten it gradually and bit by bit.

Reason 2 for Jade Leaf Leaves to Become Soft: Excessive Sunlight

You don’t like the scorching sun, and your precious daughters don’t like the sun either! Prolonged exposure to the sun or sudden moving from indoors to outdoors for maintenance can also easily cause sunburn.

In this case, you must immediately cool down the Jade Plant, move it to a cool place, and give it a small amount of scattered light.

Reason 3 for Jade Plant Leaves to Become Soft: Root Rot

This is the biggest problem of Jade Plant and also a hidden danger in growing succulents. The roots of succulents will rot as time goes by, and Jade Plant is one of the succulents that is very prone to root rot. Overwatering will cause root rot, poorly breathable soil will cause root rot, and failure to drain water in time after rain will cause root rot...all environmental discomforts will alarm the nerves of the fragile flesh of the roots.

If you are not sure whether the Jade Plant has rotten roots, dig out the plant and examine it carefully. If the roots are rotten, trim it and replant it. If the roots are not rotten, replace the plant with new soil and replant it. This is considered loosening the soil.

Reason 4 for Jade Leaf Leaves to Become Soft: Ventilation

The growth of Jade Plant requires a good ventilation environment. If the windows are not opened indoors or the corners are shaded, the environment will be relatively stuffy and not conducive to the growth of Jade Plant.

Except in winter, it is recommended to place the Jade Plant near or outside the window for maintenance, and pay attention to shade in summer.
