Tips for watering flowers

Tips for watering flowers

1. Don’t water unless the soil is dry

When watering flowers, you cannot water them blindly. You need to observe the condition of the soil in the pot first. Generally, you should wait until the soil is dry before watering. If it is not dry and is still very moist, you do not need to water it, otherwise water will accumulate and cause the roots to rot. In addition to observing the condition of the potting soil, you also need to observe the growth status of the flowers. If there is a lack of water, the plant will feel lack of vitality and vigor, and will have withered and yellow leaves. The surface of the leaves will also be dull and even wilt. This means that the flowers are lacking water and you can water them.

2. Water thoroughly

When you are sure that the soil in the pot is dry and you need to water it, you need to water it thoroughly at once. Pour water evenly into the pot until water flows out of the holes at the bottom of the pot. This means it is watered thoroughly. You cannot only water half of the plant, otherwise the roots will find it difficult to absorb water, and the surface will only appear damp, which is not conducive to growth.

3. Pay attention to time

When watering flowers, you need to choose the right time. The climate in spring and autumn is very suitable and there are not too many requirements. You can choose to water them in the morning. The temperature is too high at noon in summer, so you need to choose the morning and evening time periods. The situation in winter is opposite to that in summer, and you can choose to water at noon.
