Generally, the seeds are stored in the sand after being collected until they are sown in the spring of the following year. Because the seeds are hard, they need to be soaked in warm water to germinate. After being cleaned, they are placed in moist river sand for stratification to germinate. The seeds can be sown only after they soften. They will germinate soon. Because they grow very slowly, they need careful maintenance.

Sumac is a slow growing tree.

Rhus verniciflua growth cycle management

Temperature management: Lacquer trees like warmth and have strong resistance to cold and high temperatures. The annual average temperature needs to be between 8 and 16 degrees. They can tolerate high temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius and low temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius.

Fertilization management: When planting lacquer trees, you need to pay attention to the application of base fertilizer, so as to ensure the fertility of the soil. Afterwards, topdressing should be carried out during the period of vigorous growth. Water the soil after fertilization, or directly dissolve it in water and apply it.
