Introduction to Cordyceps

Cordyceps, also known as Cordyceps sinensis, is a plant of the Cordyceps family of the Hypocrea order. It can be used as medicine. It is also known as Cordyceps sinensis and Cordyceps sinensis.

Cordyceps can be divided into Sichuan grass, Yunnan grass, Xinjiang grass, Nepal grass, Qinghai grass, Tibetan grass, etc. according to their place of origin. According to the altitude, the grass below 3,800 meters is black grass, which has no effect and is somewhat poisonous. The grass between 3,800 meters and 4,400 meters is white grass, which has some effect. The grass between 4,400 meters and 4,900 meters is yellow grass, which has quick effects and good quality.

Cordyceps can be divided into processed grass and original grass according to whether it is processed or not. Original grass is not processed, while processed grass usually undergoes a lot of processing and can also be divided into wild and non-wild. Cordyceps sinensis was wild in the early years.

Cordyceps cultivation conditions

Every May, the temperature will continue to rise. At this time, the larvae of the grass bat moth will drill out of the soil, then crawl onto the insect body, and will parasitize on the fungal spores on the top of the insect's head and grow slowly. It likes a warm and humid environment.

Cordyceps cultivation area climate

The suitable temperature for mycelium growth and reproduction is between 5-32 degrees, the optimal temperature is between 12-18 degrees, and the best temperature for sclerotium and fruiting body formation is between 10-25 degrees.

Suitable areas for Cordyceps cultivation

Cordyceps is mainly distributed in areas with an altitude of 3500-5000 meters. It grows best and has the best quality in alpine meadows above 4500 meters. It is mainly distributed in the high-altitude areas and snow-capped mountain grasslands of Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu, Tibet and Qinghai. It is only grown in four countries in the world: China, India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Cordyceps planting time

The planting time of Cordyceps is in spring and autumn, specifically from March to May in spring, and from September to October in autumn.

Benefits of Cordyceps Planting

Cordyceps is planted in spring and autumn of the same year. In late autumn, 2,000 kg of underground fruits can be harvested per acre. Once planted, it can be harvested continuously for many years. The above-ground part can be dried and made into traditional Chinese medicine for sale. The income from the stems and leaves alone exceeds that of planting corn and wheat. Large-scale planting will bring considerable benefits.
