Then reduce the amount and frequency of watering. Fertilization should be carried out normally, with nutrient solution applied once a week and compound fertilizer applied once a month.

Pruning: Pruning after flowering is the most important step, which can avoid wasting nutrients and is conducive to subsequent growth and flowering next year. First, cut off the remaining flowers, and leave only about 20 to 30 centimeters of the above-ground part. If the water supply is sufficient, you can leave more appropriately. Note that you should leave some leaves, not all of them.

Watering: The amount and frequency of watering should be reduced. In winter, the amount of water should be strictly controlled. Also, pay attention to the water used. You can use rice water, which contains more nutrients.

Fertilization: After the flowers have faded, fertilization should be carried out normally. You can buy special nutrient solution and apply it about once a week. You can also use compound fertilizer, which is rich in nutrients, but it does not need to be applied too often, once a month is enough. After gradually entering winter, the required nutrients will gradually decrease, so the application of fertilizer can also be reduced.

Light: The healthy growth and flowering of Agapanthus cannot be separated from sufficient light. Because Agapanthus is a light-loving plant, it is best to place it in a sunny place during the maintenance process. If the light time is short, it will affect the differentiation of flower buds and the normal growth of flowers.
