When to plant forget-me-not seeds

When to plant forget-me-not seeds

1. Planting time

Planting forget-me-not seeds should be done in autumn and winter, and can be done from September to January of the following year. The temperature at this time is more conducive to the germination of the seeds. However, the specific time should be adjusted according to the local climate. The most suitable temperature for seed germination is around 15-20℃. It can also be done slightly earlier or later. As long as the temperature is suitable, it can be planted.

2. Planting Method

1. Prepare the potting soil in advance: The first thing to do when planting is to prepare the potting soil. The soil used should not be too sticky and should have good air permeability. Moreover, it must be clean enough and free of germs and insect eggs. Make the soil loose and flat in advance, and add some organic fertilizer to the soil as base fertilizer.

2. Select and process seeds: Buy high-quality seeds. After selecting them, put them in clean cold water and soak them for about an hour. Use a clean paper towel, wet it with water, place the seeds on it, and then cover it with another wet paper towel. It should be noted that there should be no excess water.

3. Planting: Sow the processed seeds into the substrate. Sow the seeds evenly and then cover the seeds with a thin layer of fine soil. Before the seeds germinate, you should pay attention to shading, otherwise it will seriously affect their germination.
