The white birch is a deciduous tree with white, smooth bark. It loves sunlight and has strong vitality. It is common on park lawns or along roadsides. It generally prefers to grow in warm, humid and sunny places.

Birch growth temperature

Birch likes warm environment and has good cold resistance. It is not afraid of freezing and can grow normally in an environment of minus 50 degrees. Generally, the most suitable germination temperature for birch seeds is around 10-15 degrees. When the ambient temperature is 15, birch will grow well.

Birch growth humidity

White birch likes a humid environment, is not drought-tolerant, has a relatively large demand for water, and is a water-loving tree. It needs to be watered frequently during its growth period. When watering for the first time, a certain amount of diluted ferrous sulfate can be added to the water, and then normal watering can be performed.

White birch is a tree native to temperate zones. It has a strong adaptability to soil and its roots grow very deep. It is generally more suitable for planting in deep, loose, breathable, fertile, slightly acidic soil. It can also grow in swamps, dry sunny slopes or moist shady slopes.

White birch is generally planted more in northern regions. It grows very fast and can be planted in any season except winter. It is most suitable to plant it in March and April in spring. Then, when it matures, it will produce oval nuts.
