Kiwi cutting propagation methods and precautions

Kiwifruit breeding method

Kiwi fruit is a fruit that is rich in nutrients and tastes good. Its general propagation methods include sowing, cuttings, grafting and layering. It is generally propagated by cuttings or grafting because it is more convenient and quick, and the yield is also good.

Kiwi cutting time

Kiwifruit cutting propagation is generally carried out in early spring. The specific time depends on the climatic conditions of the region, slightly earlier in the south and slightly later in the north.

Kiwifruit cutting propagation method

1. For kiwifruit cuttings, choose a loose, well-drained sandy loam seedling bed. Be sure to disinfect the soil of the seedling bed before cuttings.

2. When propagating kiwifruit cuttings, they should be planted on the seedbed at a spacing of 10cm x 15cm. Generally, they should be inserted vertically into the soil. If the cuttings are long, they can also be inserted obliquely.

3. After the kiwifruit cuttings are completed, be sure to water and fertilize in time, and also provide sufficient sunlight.

Kiwi cuttings precautions

The management measures after kiwifruit cuttings are the key to the rooting and survival of the cuttings, and are also the central task of management. It is necessary to coordinate the relationship between factors such as water, air, temperature, humidity and light, among which the adjustment of water is the most important.
