Can lychees be grown in Guangxi?

Of course, lychees can be grown in Guangxi. From the perspective of my country's climatic conditions, the natural conditions in Guangxi Province are very superior. There are also large areas of lychee orchards in Guangxi Province, with a very high annual output. All varieties of lychees are suitable for planting in Guangxi, and the time when lychees bear fruit varies depending on different breeding methods.

Guangxi lychees bloom and bear fruit

Litchi seedlings can be cultivated in Guangxi all year round, but the best season is definitely spring. If it is ring-branch propagation, it only takes 2-3 years to bear fruit. The March Red lychee will be on the market in late May, the Feizishao lychee will be on the market in early June, and the Black Leaf lychee will be on the market in late June.

Guangxi litchi planting technology

1. After the fruits mature in April and May, collect the old varieties of lychee seeds in a centralized manner. Lychee seeds cannot be left for a long time and should be collected in batches for germination and sowing.
2. Choose a flat piece of land, pile 3-5 cm of wet sand on it, place the washed seeds flat on the sand, do not let the seeds overlap, then cover the seeds with 5 cm thick straw, water them frequently to keep the straw moist, and after 4-5 days when the radicle of the seeds is exposed, you can take them out and sow them.

3. Implement single-core sowing. When sowing, first open sowing furrows according to the row spacing. The furrow depth is about 3 cm. Place the seeds flat in the furrow according to the original plant spacing. Cover with soil after watering. The thickness of the soil should be 2 cm. If it is too shallow, the seeds will easily dry out and die. If it is too deep, it will be difficult for the seedlings to emerge from the soil, so pay attention to controlling the thickness of the soil.
