How to grow gardenia

1. Acidic soil

Gardenia likes to grow in acidic soil. The acidic environment can promote its growth, so choose acidic soil for cultivation, or mix it with some soil fertilizer containing rotten leaves to keep the soil pH at around 5 to 6.

2. Reasonable fertilization

Gardenia grows best in a fertile environment and needs to be fertilized thinly regularly, which will make the flowers bloom large, white, and have a strong fragrance. However, be careful not to apply too much fertilizer, and do not apply it when the temperature reaches above 35 degrees Celsius.

3. Lighting

It needs a certain amount of light to grow but cannot withstand very strong light, and it also cannot be placed in a completely shaded environment. Direct sunlight will cause its leaves to turn yellow and the flower buds to fall off. A completely shady environment will result in fewer flowers blooming, so be sure to pay attention.
