Corn is a short-day crop that prefers a warm, humid, and well-lit growing environment. The plant requires a lot of water, and the precipitation during the growing season must be above 410 mm. Its main producing areas are in Northeast and North China.

Corn is a thermophilic crop. The optimum temperature for plant germination is 28-35℃. The temperature required during the jointing period is between 15-27℃. The plant is not cold-resistant and the minimum growth temperature is 10-12℃.

Corn Growth Period and Process

Corn is native to Central and South America and is widely cultivated in tropical and temperate regions. It is an important cereal crop with a fast growth rate and a growth cycle of about 100-120 days.

Corn is one of the important grain crops in my country. Its growth goes through several stages, including seedling stage, ear stage, flowering and grain stage, and maturity stage, and its growth rate is also very fast.

Corn Planting Process and Methods

1. Seed treatment: Before planting, choose corn seeds with intact grains and no pests and diseases, disinfect them, and dry them for storage.

2. Prepare the soil: Soil is crucial to the growth of corn. Corn has a well-developed root system, which requires the soil to have good air permeability and an oxygen content of more than 10%.

3. Sowing: Corn can be sown by spot sowing. Dig planting holes in the soil, maintain a row spacing of about 25 cm, and the depth of spot sowing can be about 3-5 cm.
