Mushroom Growing Conditions and Characteristics

Mushroom Growing Conditions

Mushroom is an edible fungus that prefers a high temperature and humid growing environment. The plant does not need photosynthesis and can grow without sunlight, but the ventilation environment must be good. The main producing areas are Jiangxi, Henan, Zhejiang and other places.

The most suitable growth temperature for mushrooms is 18-20℃, and the most suitable growth temperature for their fruiting bodies is 12-16℃. They are not cold-resistant and will stop growing when the temperature is below 4℃.

Mushroom Growth Period and Process

Mushrooms mainly grow under tree roots with sufficient humus, or on soil with leaves. The plants grow fast, with a growth cycle of about 3-4 months, but there are differences between different varieties.

After the fungus is sown, the hyphae will spread slowly, and then form a hyphae layer in the covering soil layer, which will further twist into white primordia. The primordia will continue to grow and finally form mushrooms.

Mushroom cultivation process and methods

1. Select strains: Selecting excellent strains can ensure yield and reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests. For example, strain 36 has large fruiting bodies and strain 20 has a high mushroom density.

2. Optimization technology: When planting, you can use three-dimensional cultivation with shelves, install a plastic net to lay the culture medium, and make full use of the space in the mushroom house.

3. Make beds and sow seeds: When the temperature of the planting material is lower than 28℃, you can start spreading the material. Make sure the surface of the hole material is flat and the middle should be about 2 cm thicker than the edge.
