Shanghai Green Planting Method and Steps

Shanghai green is suitable for planting in well-drained, loose, fertile soil rich in organic matter. It can be mixed with forest soil, humus soil, pond mud and fine sand. In order to enhance the nutrients in the soil, a small amount of organic fertilizer can also be applied to the soil.

1. Planting: Insert the germinated seedlings into the soil at a spacing of 20 cm between plants and 30 cm between rows, but not too deep. After planting, water the soil thoroughly to keep it moist, and ensure that there is sufficient light.

2. Management: After planting Shanghai Green, water it once a day and loosen the soil from time to time to allow the soil and water to blend better. Then, apply a small amount of urea solution to it 7 days after planting, and apply a small amount of compound fertilizer solution once a month.

3. Pest control: Common diseases and pests of Shanghai green include leaf blight, downy mildew, aphids and cabbage loopers. It is necessary to strengthen field management and spray pesticides in time for prevention and control. Generally, Bordeaux mixture or carbendazim can be used for prevention and control. For aphids and cabbage loopers, dichlorvos or malt emulsifiable concentrate can be used for spraying.
