1. Germination temperature

Watermelon must be soaked before germination. Soak the seeds in warm water for 4-6 hours, and keep the surrounding temperature between 25 and 32 degrees Celsius. If the soaking effect is not good, the temperature can be appropriately increased to keep it at 30 to 32 degrees Celsius. The surrounding temperature cannot be too low, otherwise the effect will be difficult to achieve the expected effect. Too high a temperature is also not suitable. If it exceeds 40 degrees Celsius, the outer skin will shrink due to water loss within two hours, which will cause the seed coat to open and affect the later sowing and growth.

2. Germination time

As long as the soaking time and water temperature are sufficient, and the germination temperature is also suitable, the seeds will germinate in about 2-3 days. However, there is no exact time for germination, and it does not mean that they will germinate in a fixed number of days. If the surrounding conditions are not suitable, the germination time will be prolonged, but there is no need to worry too much about this.

3. Notes

In addition to paying attention to the germination temperature and time, you should also pay attention to the humidity. If the surrounding humidity is low, the external environment is relatively dry, and the seed coat is very moist, it will easily cause problems with the outer coat, resulting in the outer coat opening.
