What kind of flower pot is suitable for aloe vera

Aloe vera is a green plant, and the pot should be selected according to the shape, variety and size of the plant. You can choose a white round pot for aloe vera. The green aloe vera is matched with a white pot. The white and green colors complement each other vividly, adding a bright feeling to the environment.

When growing aloe vera, you can use old clothes to decorate the flower pots. That is to say, cut the fabric from the old clothes, cut it into the shape we want and put it on the flower pot. This looks very cute and will not affect the function of the flower pot itself.

Aloe Vera Flower Pot Selection

Before potting, choose a suitable flowerpot according to the variety being planted. For example, the green-leaf aloe plant is larger and has been planted for more than one and a half years. The leaves are 50 to 80 cm long and a single leaf weighs about 500 grams. The flowerpot should be larger, with a diameter of 25 to 30 cm. The Chinese aloe and arborescent aloe plants are smaller, and the diameter of the flowerpot is about 20 cm. Use a small flowerpot first when planting.

Aloe vera likes to grow in places with good drainage, so you can choose a suitable round pot according to the size of the plant. Grow it in a small pot first, and then change to a larger pot when you divide it the next year when it grows up.

Key points for cultivating aloe vera in pots

1. Soil: It is more suitable to grow in sandy soil with loose texture, good drainage and not easy to become compacted. This kind of loam has good water retention capacity.
2. Temperature: Aloe vera is not cold-resistant. If the temperature in winter is too low, it will cause the death of the plant. Therefore, the temperature during the winter should be kept above five degrees, and warming measures should be taken.
3. Watering: Water the plants once every four or five days in spring and autumn. In summer, the temperature is high and water evaporates quickly, so water the plants once every two or three days.
4. Light: It prefers sunlight. The light is relatively strong in summer, so it should be given appropriate shade. In winter, it can be placed in a location with sufficient light for cultivation.
5. Fertilization: Apply fertilizer two to three times in half a year, and do not apply too much fertilizer.
