How long is the soybean growing period?

The growing cycle of soybeans is about 180 days. Generally, soybeans are divided into northern soybeans and southern soybeans. Northern soybeans take about 120 to 150 days, while the growing cycle of southern soybeans is relatively short, generally around 100 to 120 days.

The growth and development stages of soybeans are roughly the seedling stage, the flowering bud stage, and the maturity stage. Generally, soybeans are planted in November in the north and mature after March of the following year. Soybeans in the south are generally planted in December and harvested around March.

The growth process of soybeans

1. Seedling stage

Generally, the seed coat falls off during the germination period, and the cotyledons begin to gradually emerge from the soil. If the conditions are right, the seedlings will emerge one week after planting.

2. Flower bud stage

The flower bud stage is generally the branching stage. At this time, the flower organs will gradually grow larger, and then flower buds, pollen, etc. will be formed one after another.

3. Maturity

The maturity period is generally when the leaves turn yellow and fall off, and then the beans become dehydrated. At this time, if there is a slight sound when shaking the plant, it means it is ripe.

Soybean growth period maintenance and management

1. Maintenance during the seedling stage: Maintenance during the seedling stage mainly focuses on controlling the surrounding temperature between 15 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius. Only when the temperature is suitable can it ensure that it can germinate quickly.

2. Maintenance during the flower bud period: The main management measures are fertilizing, watering and sun exposure. Generally, it should be given 6 hours of light time every day.

3. Maintenance during the maturity period: It does not require too much fertilizer during the maturity period, but it needs to be watered on time to ensure that the soil is slightly moist at all times.
