Cultivation methods and precautions of yew

1. Breeding methods

1. Potting soil: It has quite high requirements on soil, so you can use a mixture of garden soil and leaf mold. The soil should be loose, well-ventilated and have an acidic pH. Do not use alkaline soil, which is not good for plant growth and can even lead to death in severe cases.

2. Watering: It is a water-loving plant. During the cultivation period, the soil must be kept moist and must not dry out. However, it is afraid of water accumulation and cannot accumulate water. Water accumulation will cause root rot.

3. Light: It has high requirements for light, and the lighting time is different in different periods. The seedlings are shade-tolerant for 1-3 years, but when they grow up they need full-day sunlight.

4. Pruning: During the cultivation process, the branches and leaves should be pruned, and the tips should be pinched when sprouting, which can promote the growth of side buds. If not pruned, the branches will grow thin and droop, covering the leaves below. The leaves will fall off because they are not given sunlight, and the branches will fall off over time.

2. Precautions

If it grows too many branches, you need to prune them in time to prevent them from affecting the growth of the remaining branches.
