Site selection and land preparation To grow kudzu root, you need to choose soil with deep soil layer and good drainage. Start land preparation in February and apply about 1,500 kilograms of organic fertilizer per acre. 2. Sowing and seedling raising The time for sowing and seedling raising is around the Qingming Festival. Before sowing, the seeds should be soaked in warm water to stimulate the growth of the seeds. Then, the seeds should be sown in holes, with 3-4 seeds sown in each hole. 3. Transplanting and planting The time for transplanting is usually early March. The soil should be kept moist.
