How to grow grapefruit in potted plants

1. Soil preparation

The preparation of soil for growing grapefruit requires long-term planning. The fruiting period of grapefruit is more than seven years, so try to apply humus as base fertilizer in the base soil to enhance the fertility of the soil.

2. Pruning

When pruning a pomelo tree, be careful not to touch its main growth trunk. Since pomelo is a perennial plant, the health of the trunk is very important, and you can cut off the messy side branches.

3. Watering

You can reduce the amount of watering for grapefruit, and only add more water when the fruits are growing. Normally, it is better to keep the soil a little drier than to let water accumulate in the soil.

4. Fertilization

Grapefruit fertilizer can be applied once a month, or no fertilizer can be applied when no fruit is grown. Just add an appropriate amount of humus fermentation liquid. Too much fertilizer may cause seedling burn and plant dehydration and death.

5. Lighting

Grapefruit requires more light and can be exposed to more sunlight on weekdays, but you must be careful not to get burned in the hot summer.
