1. Morphological characteristics

3. Flowers: The flowers of the pennywort are umbels, usually axillary. There are 25-50 flowers on the inflorescence, and the bracts are membranous and lanceolate in shape. Its buds are grass green and turn white after blooming. The petals are membranous with light yellow or purple-brown dots.

4. Fruit: The fruit of the pennywort is round and has a diameter of about 2 mm. Its base is heart-shaped, with flattened sides and two obvious raised ridges on the sides. The surface is relatively smooth, with occasional wrinkles, and the color is mostly yellow or purple.

The pennywort grows best in a warm and humid environment and is generally kept in the shade to avoid direct sunlight. It usually grows in loose and fertile soil, and can also be grown hydroponically, with the water temperature controlled at 22-28℃. It is shade-tolerant and moisture-tolerant, and is also relatively drought-tolerant. It has strong adaptability and has good growth and reproduction abilities.

3. Distribution

The copper coin grass is native to Hunan, Sichuan, Yunnan and other places, usually at an altitude of 1060-2900. It mostly grows in rivers or shady and wet places.
