Mint planting season and time

Mint is planted in different seasons. The planting time mainly depends on the climatic conditions of different places. It can be planted all year round in Guangdong and Hainan provinces, and around Qingming Festival in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. When the temperature rises, there is often rain and moisture, and it is easy to survive after planting. It is best to plant in the southwest after the rainy season begins. In North China and Northeast China, open field cultivation and protected land cultivation can be adopted at the same time. Continuous sowing can be harvested for 2-3 years.

Mint planting steps and methods

1. Soil: Use loose and fertile soil with good drainage. Water before planting and pay attention to evenly spreading the seeds on the soil.

2. Humidity: Mint seeds are small and do not need to be covered with soil. If the soil humidity is appropriate, you can use a small spray bottle to spray water to keep the seeds moist.

3. Watering: Sow seeds at about 20℃, but be careful not to exceed 25℃. When the temperature is below 20℃, you can cover it with plastic wrap to increase the temperature and keep it moist. In the summer when the temperature is high, put the seeds in a cool place to cool down. Because the seeds are prone to lack of water due to high temperature, when there is no root, you can only use artificial watering to ensure normal development.

4. Covering: If you cover the seeds with plastic wrap, you must remove it immediately after they germinate and move them to a place that receives proper light.

5. Neat: Planting must wait until the seeds grow 5 to 6 leaves. Generally speaking, one seedling should be planted in each hole. First, the seedlings should be neat and the root system should be neat, then fill the soil and compact it. Watering should be done once and thoroughly.

6. Top dressing: After the seedlings grow slightly, add an appropriate amount of liquid fertilizer.

Mint Flowering Season

The flowering period of mint is between July and September. It is usually planted in spring and will bloom after about 4 months of maintenance. However, this time is not completely fixed and depends on the local climate. If the temperature is above 20 degrees, the momentum will be faster. Let it get more sun at ordinary times, which will make it bloom faster.

The flower language of mint is eternal love, which means never leaving and loving you forever, which means love that never dies.
