When does the desert rose bloom?

When does the desert rose bloom?

1. Flowering time

If a flowering plant wants to bloom, it must reach a perfect state within itself, and there must be certain external factors to support it. Desert rose usually blooms in April and May every spring and in September and October at the turn of summer and autumn, and generally blooms twice a year. Flowering also requires certain conditions. The temperature, humidity, and soil must reach the extreme points required for flowering.

2. Requirements for flowering

1. Soil quality requirements

Different flower pots have different cultivation habits and different growth environments, and the proportions of planting soil will also be different. The principle of soil preparation is to ensure that the soil is well-ventilated and loose without being compacted.

2. Requirements for changing pots

Generally, the pots should be divided according to size. Desert roses should be repotted once a year. It will be beneficial to lift the roots at the right time to improve the appearance. After removing the plant from the pot, first clean up the soil and check for rotten or dead roots. If there are rotten or dead roots, they must be removed before potting. If there are no rotten roots or wounds, it can be potted directly, but it must be kept in the shade for a while, or watered enough and then exposed to the sun. Generally it depends on the situation, and you don't have to follow a rigid method.

3. Water management

Generally, watering should be done at a cool time, such as in the morning or evening. When the temperature is low, you can choose to water at noon, when the temperature is relatively high. Although the desert rose is very drought-resistant, it does not mean that it does not need watering. It can be seen that if it lacks water for a long time, the growth of the desert rose will be very slow. However, many flower lovers are afraid that it will lack water, so they water it frequently, causing the soil to be very wet, which may cause the roots to rot. This is how many flower lovers’ desert roses died. On the contrary, some flower lovers are afraid that the roots will rot and dare not water them. This situation will cause drought and easily lead to poor growth of desert roses.
