What are the cultivation methods and precautions of Verbena?

Verbena Introduction

Verbena belongs to the Verbenaceae family. It is native to South America. It has a variety of colors and is a good ornamental flower. Its flowering period is from May to November every year.

When caring for it, it needs sufficient sunlight so that it can grow well and the color of the flowers will be more beautiful.

Verbena cultivation method

1. Soil: When planting petunia, suitable soil is needed. Generally, loose and fertile neutral soil is used. Sandy loam can be used as the matrix, and then a certain amount of coarse sand and peat soil can be added.

2. Light: Verbena is relatively light-loving and requires sufficient sunlight when being cared for. However, in the summer, it needs appropriate shade to avoid strong light exposure.

3. Watering: The roots of petunia are shallow, so it does not need to be watered frequently. Just keep the soil moist. When watering, use moderation and avoid water accumulation.

4. Fertilization: Verbena is generally fertilized during the growing season, usually once every 15 days, and the fertilizer used should be diluted. Watering should be done the next day to facilitate absorption.

Things to note when growing Verbena

Verbena is a plant with particularly strong vitality. During the cultivation period, you must pay attention to topping the plant in time. Only in this way can you control the growth of the plant and allow it to grow more new branches. Timely topping can also extend its flowering period. In addition, you must pay attention to timely pruning during cultivation, and apply fertilizer in time after each pruning.
