Fruit radish is also called Shawo Zhangjia radish. It is also a vegetable belonging to the Cruciferae family and the genus Radish. Its tubers are eaten as vegetables, both raw and cooked. The cultivation area in my country is relatively large. This vegetable matures and is available in May and June.

Nutritional value of fruit radish

Fruit radish has a delicate, sweet and juicy taste and can be eaten raw. In addition, more common ways to eat it include spicy and sour fruit radish, sweet and sour fruit radish, stir-fried green radish, cold fruit radish, etc.

The nutritional value of fruit radish is very high. The fruit is rich in glucose, sucrose, various vitamins, sugars, trace elements and other substances. It has the effects of promoting gastrointestinal motility, resolving phlegm and relieving cough, stopping bleeding and cooling blood, replenishing energy, and improving immunity.

Fruit radish production and planting

The main producing areas of fruit radish in my country are Beijing, Tianjin, Guangdong, Shanxi, Yunnan, Shandong, Anhui, Hebei and other places. Among them, Tianjin Weiqing radish is very famous. It has a long history of cultivation. The tubers have thin skin and fine flesh and excellent taste.

Fruit radish can be planted all year round, with a growth cycle of about 360 days. It can only grow well in suitable soil. Before planting, the soil should be deeply plowed and dried, and fertilized evenly. The soil should be able to retain water and fertilizer.
