What kind of fertilizer is good for jasmine base fertilizer (base fertilizer application method)

Effect of jasmine base fertilizer

Jasmine has a greater demand for fertilizer, has a long flowering period, and requires more fertilizer. Applying sufficient base fertilizer can better promote the growth of the plant and accumulate nutrients for its flowering.

Jasmine base fertilizer selection

Jasmine's base fertilizer can be farmyard manure, combined with a small amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. It is not advisable to apply too much nitrogen fertilizer to avoid causing the plant to grow taller. The farmyard manure must be fully decomposed. You can use pig and cattle manure, rotten straw, bran cakes, etc. at home that can be decomposed and fermented at one time and then used as base fertilizer and applied deeply. Apply as much as possible.

It is not recommended to fertilize jasmine after repotting, mainly because its root system is very fragile. If you apply fertilizer directly, it is likely to cause root burn. You need to wait until it has successfully grown into a seedling before you can fertilize it. You can choose some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, combined with sufficient light, so that the jasmine can bloom beautiful flowers.

How to apply jasmine base fertilizer

Jasmine can be fertilized with well-rotted farmyard manure, 1-2 tons per mu. Phosphorus fertilizer should also be used as base fertilizer and composted with farmyard manure, and applied all at once after half a month. Generally, 50-100 kg per mu can meet the plant's growth needs throughout the year.

If there is no farmyard manure, there are a variety of high-quality commercial biological organic fertilizers available on the market that can be purchased directly. This type of fertilizer is generally applied at a rate of about 200 kilograms per mu.

How to apply fertilizer to jasmine

1. Apply organic fertilizer

Jasmine grows vigorously and has high ornamental value. If properly cultivated during the growth period, it can bloom three times a year. It starts to bloom in June and July every year, which is also the vigorous flowering period. The other two times are in summer and autumn. At this time, you can apply thin organic fertilizer every two days and water it in the early morning of the next day.

2. Apply calcium phosphate

In August, when the jasmine flowers fall, the plant does not have much demand for nutrients. You can apply a thin layer of organic fertilizer every 15-20 days, spray calcium phosphate on the leaves, and water them every other day.
