How to propagate rueba and what to pay attention to

How to propagate rueba

The rose hips can generally be propagated by sowing, division, and cuttings. Its seeds can be propagated. When sowing, the seeds must be buried in the soil, and the water should be clean. After controlling the temperature at around 22°C, they can take root quickly, but cuttings are still the fastest way to propagate.

Breeding time of rue

The best time to propagate the rueba by division is in spring, when the climate is suitable and the plants grow vigorously. It is also better to divide the plants on a sunny day, as this will increase the survival rate of the reproduction.

How to propagate rueba

Propagation of rueba by division

Dig out the small plants next to the mother plant of the lavender, cut off the stem buds around the roots, disinfect them and bury them in the prepared nutrient soil, water them to keep the substrate moist, and divide and transplant them after axillary buds grow.

Cutting propagation of rue

During the growing season of rudbeckia, select 1-2 year old strong branches as cuttings, cut them into branches of about 10 cm, only keep the upper leaves and top buds, cut the base into a smooth oblique shape, insert them into clean sandy soil, and water them enough to take root in one month.

Seed propagation of rue

The sowing and propagation of Lophatherum is mainly carried out in spring and autumn. The seeds can be sown in the culture soil respectively. The water quality must be guaranteed to be clean. After planting, cover with a layer of sand, control the temperature at around 22℃, add appropriate amount of wood ash and mix. Water frequently to keep it moist, and it will germinate after about a month.

Things to note when breeding rue

When propagating rueba, you need to pay attention to the fact that the plant has poor cold and heat resistance. In winter, you need to transplant it indoors and take insulation measures. It is also important to note that the newly propagated plants cannot be exposed to the sun and can be placed in a well-ventilated place for maintenance.
