How to grow arrowroot

Growth habits of arrowroot

Arrowroot likes warm, humid, semi-shaded environment. It is not cold-resistant, afraid of dryness, and avoids strong sunlight. It is very sensitive to water. The plant likes to grow in low light or semi-shaded environment. The leaves are easily burned if exposed to strong sunlight. It is suitable for growing in fertile, loose, well-drained leaf mold soil.

Method of growing arrowroot

1. Adequate water: During the growth period of arrowroot, you should ensure that there is sufficient water in the potting soil to avoid not watering for too long. Soil drought will seriously affect its growth. The soil should not be too moist at ordinary times, and a moist state is best.

2. Reasonable exposure to light: Arrowroot prefers a semi-shaded growing environment, so it does not need to be exposed to light during maintenance. Put it in a place with scattered light, and it only needs to be exposed to light for about 5 hours a day. If there is a lack of light, it will not easily burst the pot.

3. Ensure ventilation: If you want the arrowroot to bloom, you must pay attention to ventilation. The growing environment should not be too humid and stuffy. Such an environment will not only restrict its growth, but also make it easy for diseases and pests to occur. Therefore, you should open the doors and windows more often on sunny days for ventilation.

4. Proper pruning: Arrowroot has strong vitality. In order to make it bloom faster and better, it is necessary to properly prune the old and dead leaves on the plant, so as to promote the sprouting of new leaves.

Arrowroot care precautions

Arrowroot needs a ventilated growing environment, not too closed, and preferably with a breeze. You should take good care of the arrowroot and trim the yellow leaves and withered flowers in time. It particularly likes moisture. In addition to spraying water on the leaves and surrounding areas to increase humidity, you can also wipe the leaves with a soft cloth dipped in clean water.
