How to cultivate coral potted plants

Coral potting care

Coral potted plants are suitable for growing in moist, fertile, well-drained and humus-rich acidic soil. They like warm and humid environments. The temperature suitable for their growth is generally 22-30℃. The seedlings should be strictly protected from frost and care should be taken to keep the soil moist.

Coral potted cultivation method

1. Coral potted cultivation requires the use of neutral culture soil with a little base fertilizer added. Growth cannot be separated from the supplement of light. Under normal circumstances, the light should be between 8-10 hours, and the minimum temperature in autumn and winter cannot be lower than 12 degrees Celsius.

2. During the maintenance of coral potted plants, apply diluted organic fertilizer once every 15 days during the growth period, and apply potassium hydrogen fertilizer once or twice before flowering. Keep the potting soil moist at ordinary times to avoid water accumulation. Reduce water in winter, spray water to keep it moist in summer, cut the branches and leaves short in autumn, and change the soil in spring.

Coral potted plants

In order to keep coral potted plants alive, the pots should have a certain depth to promote root growth. They should be provided with fertile, well-drained sandy loam. The environment should be kept warm, dry and sunny. They should be watered frequently and fertilized appropriately.

How often should you water your coral potted plants?

During the peak growth season of coral potted plants, when the branches continue to grow rapidly, you can water them more appropriately, but avoid water accumulation. In addition, do not over-water the plants when they just enter the flowering period, just keep the soil slightly moist.

Coral potted plant pruning

When the coral potted plants have more fruits, in order to enhance its beauty, you can cut off all the leaves or branches on the top of the fruit branches. After the fruiting period, cut short some of the old and withered branches of the coral. This can avoid nutrient consumption, promote the growth of new branches, and be more conducive to the next flowering and fruiting.

Coral potted plant care precautions

1. Coral potted plants have weak cold resistance, so in autumn and winter, when the minimum temperature is below 12 degrees Celsius, the growth of corals will be seriously affected, and when the temperature is below 8 degrees Celsius, the plants will gradually enter a dormant period.

2. The growth of coral potted plants cannot be separated from sufficient nutrients. Generally, a small amount of fertilizer can be applied in the early stage of its growth. In its vigorous growth stage, liquid fertilizer can be applied every half a month to promote growth and make the flowers bloom larger during the flowering period.
