How to care for hydroponic cyclamen

Cyclamen hydroponic method

When growing hydroponic cyclamen, you need to choose a container that is suitable for the size of the plant. You can choose glass or plastic. First, remove the plant from the pot, clean the roots, trim off the rotten roots, place it in a cool and ventilated place to dry, then add water to the container and place the processed cyclamen into the container.

Hydroponic Cyclamen Cultivation Method

It is best to use spring water for hydroponic cyclamen. This kind of water contains a variety of nutrients that can meet the growth of the plant. If tap water is used, it needs to be left to stand for 2 days before use. The water temperature should be close to the indoor temperature, preferably 10-20℃.

Cyclamen is a light-loving plant. It needs to be placed in a sunny place during water cultivation. Do not place it directly on the radiator. After that, add water and nutrient solution regularly. After the flowers have faded after 2 to 3 months of water cultivation, take out the plant and re-pot it.

How to grow cyclamen in water

In order for hydroponic cyclamen to bloom, it needs a suitable temperature, which should be maintained at around 15 degrees. In the hot summer, more ventilation is required. In the cold winter, it needs to be moved to a warm indoor room. It also needs to be given sufficient light, and strong light in summer should be avoided in time. During the growing season, it should be fertilized and watered frequently, and there should be sufficient fertilizer and water to maintain normal growth needs.

How to grow cyclamen in water without yellowing leaves

When you first buy cyclamen, the flowers bloom lushly and compactly. But as time goes by, the flowers become fewer and fewer, and the leaves may also turn yellow. This is mainly due to the lack of topdressing fertilizer. After the cyclamen enters the flowering period, apply flower liquid fertilizer 2-3 times a month. This can supplement the nutrients needed for its growth and flowering, and can also reduce the yellowing of leaves.

Precautions for caring for cyclamen in water culture

Hydroponic cyclamen should avoid direct sunlight and be maintained in an environment with relatively soft light. The temperature should be kept between ten and twenty degrees Celsius (not too high). Nutrients should be replenished regularly during the flowering period. Add nutrient solution when watering. Replenish the nutrient solution at a ratio of 1:100 every ten days. If the plant does not grow well, you can increase it appropriately.
