How to grow dragon blood tree

1. Breeding environment

(1) Soil: The main requirements are that the soil should be loose, fertile and breathable. You can mix humus soil, peat soil and river sand evenly, or you can mix vermiculite, perlite and peat soil together.

(2) Watering: It needs more water during the growing season and can be watered every three to five days. However, during the dormant period in winter, it can occur once every ten days or so. In addition, watering is required, especially during the high temperatures in summer. It is usually sprayed around 10 am and after 6 pm.

(3) Fertilization: mainly apply some nutrient fertilizers during the growth stage, and use special nutrient solution and water evenly.

(4) Light: The plant prefers light, and the leaves will fade if there is insufficient light. Therefore, except when the light is particularly strong, it is best to place it in the sun, and generally the light intensity is 40 to 50 percent. In addition, it is important to evenly illuminate the leaf scars, and rotate their positions from time to time.

(5) Temperature: The most suitable temperature is 20 to 28 degrees. In winter, when the temperature is below 15 degrees, the plant will go dormant. Generally, it can safely spend the winter at 10 to 20 degrees. If you don't want it to hibernate, you can keep it above 15 degrees.

2. Pruning

Dracaena grows fast, so many of its branches grow messy and sometimes even leggy. Therefore, it is very necessary to regularly cut off the branches and leaves that are too messy, too dense, infested with diseases and insects, or aging.
