Tremella growth environment conditions and characteristics

Tremella growth environment conditions and requirements

Tremella, also known as white fungus and snow fungus, is composed of many transparent hyphae. It is widely distributed in my country and mostly parasitizes on the logs of various trees. Wild Tremella is mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions.

Tremella growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for Tremella fuciformis is around 15-30℃. Temperatures that are too high or too low are not conducive to the growth of the plant. It has poor cold resistance. When the temperature is below 20℃, the mycelium will grow very slowly.

Tremella growth humidity

Tremella likes a humid environment and requires the moisture content of nutrients to be around 70%-80% in order to germinate into mycelium, and then differentiate into fruiting bodies. If the air humidity exceeds 90%, it is not easy to germinate into new mycelium.

Tremella growing soil

The cultivation medium of Tremella fuciformis is not soil, but wood. Most broad-leaved tree species can be used as cultivation wood, and they only require a higher water content.

Tremella growth cycle and process

Tremella is a fungus with a production cycle of about 100-120 days. The wood for growing mycelium requires a high water content and sufficient light. Tremella in most areas is harvested between April and September, and May to August is its peak production period.
