Avocado Growth Environmental Conditions and Requirements

Avocado is a common fruit with high nutritional value. It generally grows in tropical regions such as Guangdong, Fujian and Hainan. Avocado generally prefers to grow in a warm, humid and well-lit environment.

Avocado growing temperature

Avocado likes a warm environment. During daily care, the optimum temperature for avocado growth is within the range of 20-30 degrees. When the ambient temperature is as high as 40 degrees, the leaves of avocado will be sunburned. It can withstand temperatures as low as 0 degrees.

Avocado Growth Humidity

Avocado likes a humid environment. It has high requirements for humidity and water during its growth period. It needs to be replenished with water in time in spring and autumn. It needs to be watered more frequently when the climate is dry in summer. The frequency of watering can be reduced in winter.

Avocado Growing Soil

Avocado has a wide adaptability to soil and is generally more suitable for planting in well-drained, deep and fertile sandy loam, because this type of soil has better air permeability and drainage, which is more conducive to the growth of avocado roots.

Avocado growth cycle and process

The growth of avocado is relatively slow in the early stages. Generally, newly planted avocados need to be cared for for 3 or 4 years before they will start to bear fruit. During the maintenance period, it is better to allow them to receive 8 hours of sunlight a day. In addition, avocados generally bloom in February and March, and the fruit will mature in August.
