Cordyceps growth temperature

Cordyceps has very strict requirements on the temperature of the environment. It cannot be too high or too low. Generally, the most suitable growth temperature for Cordyceps is around 20-25 degrees. When the ambient temperature is below 6 degrees, Cordyceps will stop growing.

During maintenance, it needs to be sprayed or watered to maintain humidity. Generally, when the temperature difference is large and the humidity is more suitable, Cordyceps will grow faster.

Cordyceps growing soil

Cordyceps will grow inside the corpses of bat moths in the field. After the larvae die, Cordyceps will begin to grow. Cordyceps has good adaptability to the environment. Usually, Cordyceps is more suitable for cultivation on meadow soil, grass felt soil or black felt soil. It can also be cultivated in sterile soil.

Cordyceps growth cycle and process

Cordyceps usually starts to grow fruiting bodies in May. Generally, Cordyceps will grow within 15 cm below the soil. By mid-July in summer, the fruiting bodies will mature in the soil and can then be dug out.
