Cultivation methods and precautions for carnations

Cultivation methods and precautions for carnations

1. Flower soil

To grow carnations, you need to use flower soil that has a certain water retention and air permeability. Because this kind of flower soil facilitates air circulation, it is very good for the plant's breathing. It can also store water, allowing the plants to continuously absorb water. After selecting the flower soil, you need to mix it with enough base fertilizer to improve its fertility so that the plants can absorb more nutrients.

2. Sunlight

It can be said that it likes sunshine very much. Except for the first seedlings planted or the peak flowering period, it should be given as much light as possible at other times. Especially when it is producing flower buds, if there is enough sunlight, it can produce more flower buds and even bloom more flowers.

3. Watering

Its root system is relatively shallow, so it is relatively afraid of waterlogging. When growing it, you should water it in moderation. Never water too much at one time, and never water again when the soil is still wet. Otherwise it may become waterlogged, causing growth problems.

4. Fertilization

Its growth requires sufficient nutrient support. During the growth period, it needs to be continuously fertilized to provide nutrients. Specifically, top dressing can be applied once every 25-30 days. The type of fertilizer can be cake fertilizer or fertilizer made from animal manure.

5. Notes

When yellow leaves appear, they should be cut off in time to prevent them from consuming nutrients in the plant.
